SDM Torino
Headquartered in Turin, SDM S.r.l. represents the operational heart of the group and specialises in the design and processing of sheet metal for the aerospace, helicopter and aeronautical sectors and in the manufacture of technical equipment. The Turin plant combines the latest generation technologies and cutting-edge production processes, guaranteeing high-precision components and innovative, sustainable solutions for the needs of modern industry.
SDM Rivoli
Located in the industrial area of Rivoli, SDM S.r.l. specialises in galvanic treatments, SurTec 650 and non-destructive testing (NDT), which are essential for ensuring the reliability and durability of components for the industrial and aerospace sectors. The plant also houses a research and development centre dedicated to innovation in production processes and experimentation with advanced materials and treatments, consolidating SDM Rivoli’s role as the group’s technological hub.
SDM Polska
Opened in 2023 in Lublin, the Polish facility represents the SDM group’s most recent international expansion. This plant is dedicated to the design and manufacture of sheet metal components for the aerospace and industrial sectors, offering the same quality standards and advanced services as the Turin facility. Thanks to its strategic location, SDM Polska strengthens the group’s ability to serve the European market with tailor-made solutions, consistent quality and optimised production times.
Chiales Tools
Chiales Tools is a company specialising in the production of high-precision tools and equipment for the manufacturing industry. With extensive experience in the metalworking sector, Chiales Tools offers customised solutions for complex machining operations, guaranteeing maximum quality and precision. The company has been part of the SDM group since 2018, thus expanding its range of integrated services for customers.
SDM Settimo
MEPIT has been operating in the aerospace sector since 1969 and, as of 2025, has become part of the SDM Group, adopting the name SDM Settimo and further strengthening its industrial and organizational structure within the group.
The company specializes in the manufacturing of components for the aeronautical and aerospace industries, offering comprehensive solutions from design through to final delivery.
Thanks to solid expertise in mechanical machining, the company is able to work with a wide range of materials, including aluminum, titanium, nickel, high-performance hardened steels, and special alloys such as Inconel and Hastelloy, ensuring high quality standards even for the most complex applications.
The offering is complemented by mechanical and cryogenic assembly services, testing and certifications, as well as MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) activities, ensuring reliability, operational continuity, and support throughout the entire product lifecycle.
SDM Rivalta
The Rivalta di Torino plant originated as Officina Meccanica Panni, a company specialized in the production of technical equipment and already active in the aerospace sector. Since 2025, Meccanica Panni has become part of the SDM Group, integrating into the group’s production network and strengthening the expertise and operational capabilities dedicated to the aerospace industry.
The facility, located in Rivalta di Torino, covers an area of approximately 700 m² and is dedicated to the design and manufacturing of fixtures, inspection gauges, handling systems, and industrial protections intended for the aerospace sector.
Within the workshop, several operational phases are carried out, including the manufacturing of equipment, assembly, and functional verification. These activities are aimed at providing essential technical tools to ensure precision, safety, and efficiency in the production processes typical of the aeronautical industry, where quality and control standards are particularly demanding.
Thanks to its compact and highly specialized organization, the Rivalta plant today represents an operational center dedicated to the development and production of customized technical equipment for aerospace applications, contributing to the support of industrial activities and to the protection of operators and production lines.
