YEAR 2000
Origin
In the 2000 SDM was founded, specialized in design and development of equipments to a high technical technique. From the start SDM consolidates advanced skills in technical documentation, entering the aeronautical and aerospace sector.
YEAR 2012
Growth
In 2012 SDM strengthened its international presence by opening the headquarter TOOL ENGINEERING Sp. z o.o. in BIELSKO-BIALA in Poland, expanding the European marketand improving support for international customers.
YEAR 2021
New frontiers
In 2021 SDM opened new production frontiers entering in the processing and assembly of sheet metal components,thanks to the acquisition of HTF srl and integration of the existing skills,expanding its offering for helicopters and aeronautical sectors.
YEAR 2023
SDM Polska Sp. z o.o.
In 2023 SDM opened a new production plant in Lubino,in Poland,dedicated to sheet
production and assembly of special materials.The branch has established itself as a center of excellence in titanium forming, enhancing the European market.
YEAR 2024
Growth in special processes
In 2024 SDM expanded its competences in special processes with the acquisition of the Rivoli (TO) branch (ex Surface), introducing galvanic, CND, painting and chemical
laboratory. The branch obtained NADCAP HEAT TREATING CERTIFICATION and started the production of critical parts for helicopters AW109 and AW169.
YEAR 2025
New branches
In 2025 SDM enhanced the production capacities with the acquisition of the branches in Settimo and Rivalta, obtaining multisite certifications UNI EN 9100:2018 and NADCAP
certifications,introducing REACH COMPLAINT processes and gaining ground for the future branch SDM Polska,platform of innovation and long term value.
